Quality Assurance Staff – Level 4

This qualification is suitable for those staff who are quality assuring qualifications within the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) that use the term “NVQ” in their title.

Dependent upon the Sector Skills Council assessment strategies it is also suitable for those staff who are quality assuring qualifications within the QCF that do not use the term “NVQ” within their titles but whose purpose is (D1) “Confirm Occupational Competence”.

Verification:

Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Process and Practice (6 credits)

This qualification is appropriate for those who maintain the quality of assessment from within an organisation or assessment centre.

Level 4 Certificate in leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (17 credits)

This qualification is for those who lead a team of internal quality assurance staff.

Both of the above qualifications include a Knowledge Unit (6 Credits) which is available as a one unit award for those who would like to gain an understanding of the principles of these roles without the requirement to practice:

Level 4 Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (6 Credits)

This is available as a stand-alone unit and is suitable for those who would like an understanding of the above two roles but are not yet in a position to practice.
